Naperville's Calvary Church celebrates 52 years

Calvary Church of Naperville is celebrating 52 years of serving the community, and they are celebrating with an annual Anniversary Festival on Sunday, June 30, from 3 to 10 p.m. Ten thousand people are expected to attend. This outdoor event is free and open to the public.

Activities include inflatables, games and sports; a classic car show and emergency response vehicles; an art show, craft fair and sweet treats for sale; multiple food trucks; outdoor concerts; and a fireworks show to end the night.

The outdoor concert stage will include various entertainment between 5 and 9:30 p.m., including local musicians, youth performances, the Calvary en EspaƱol band, the Calvary Church choir and musical guests Sharon Irving and Jordan Jones. Sharon Irving is a Chicago native and America's Got Talent semi-finalist. The singer, songwriter and daughter of jazz musician, Robert Irving III, released her debut album, "Bennett Ave.," in 2017.

As part of the anniversary celebration, Calvary's weekend services on June 29-30 will feature guest speaker Rev. Doug Clay, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, and guest singers Sharon Irving and Jordan Jones.

Worship is at 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday.
