Great advice from Canadian neighbor

John Gilbert "Jack" Layton, PC, July 18, 1950 - Aug. 22, 2011, was a Canadian politician and Leader of the Official Opposition.

He said this just before dying of cancer: "Love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful, and optimistic."
