Wasco Diamonds 16-U homers to take win over Crush Tidal Waves 16-U

Game Changer

The Wasco Diamonds 16-U defeated Crush Tidal Waves 16-U PH 12-5 on Friday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at four with Wasco Diamonds 16-U batting in the top of the fourth when Lindsay Jamrozek homered off of #7, driving in three runs.

Wasco Diamonds 16-U earned the victory despite allowing Crush Tidal Waves 16-U PH to score four runs in the third inning. Crush Tidal Waves 16-U PH's big inning was driven by a double by #88 and a home run by #10.

After Wasco Diamonds 16-U scored one run in the top of the fifth, Crush Tidal Waves 16-U PH answered with one of their own. Wasco Diamonds 16-U scored when Megan Wiater tripled off of #7, driving in one run. Crush Tidal Waves 16-U PH then answered when Grace Kutz induced #79 to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Crush Tidal Waves 16-U PH scored four runs in the third inning. The big inning for Crush Tidal Waves 16-U PH came thanks to a double by #88 and a home run by #10.

Kutz earned the win for Wasco Diamonds 16U. She threw three and two-thirds innings, allowing one run, three hits, and striking out three. #7 took the loss for Crush Tidal Waves 16-U PH. She went six innings, allowing ten runs, 11 hits, striking out six, and walking one.

Dobson started the game for Wasco Diamonds 16U. She tossed two and a third innings, surrendering four runs, five hits, striking out one, and walking zero.

Wasco Diamonds 16-U had 11 hits in the game. Laura Dietrich and Grace Folino each collected multiple hits for Wasco Diamonds 16U. Folino and Dietrich each collected two hits to lead Wasco Diamonds 16U.

#10 led Crush Tidal Waves 16-U PH with three hits in three at bats.
