Woodland District 50 sets 2017-18 school calendar

The Woodland Elementary District 50 Board of Education has approved the district's 2017-2018 calendar.

The first day of school in the Gurnee-based district next year for grades 1-8 will be Monday, Aug. 21, and the first day for primary students is Aug. 22. The last scheduled day of the school year, assuming all five emergency days are used, is set for Thursday, June 7, 2018.

Winter break begins on Thursday, Dec. 21, and school will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018.

Spring break will be Monday, March 26, 2018 through Friday, March 30, 2018.
