Palatine parks hosts Cutting Hall open house Saturday

The Palatine Park District will celebrate one of its oldest buildings, Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, with an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8.

The free event will include backstage tours, a video slideshow of the theater's history, refreshments and goody bags.

The theater was built in 1928 as part of the original Palatine High School. The auditorium is named after the school's first principal, Charles S. Cutting, who was born in Vermont in 1854.
