Garden Club Hosts Talk on Bird Migration Thru Long Grove in Spring

The Long Grove-Kildeer Garden Club is offering a free presentation on birds that migrate through Reed-Turner Woodland in the spring. Avid bird watcher and Garden Club member, Kathy Michas, will cover migration patterns as well as show different species of birds that she has seen migrate through our local woodland. She will present pictures of these birds along with bird calls and behaviors that will help bird watchers identify them. Kathy said, "Between the wildflowers and the birds that come through, Reed-Turner Woodland is a real treasure in the spring, and I want people to be aware of its unique charm.

The presentation is on Monday, March 9th at 10am at Reed-Turner Woodland Nature Center at 3849 N. McHenry Road in Long Grove. All are welcome.
