Lurvey's opens nursery yard, store
DES PLAINES - Lurvey Home and Garden opened its nursery yard and store on Monday, the result of being designated an essential business by Gov. JB Pritzker.
Customers can enter through the covered shopping area to shop for annuals, herbs, perennials, shrubs and trees. Hardscape sales will also be available. The number of customers allowed inside at one time will be monitored by staff, and Lurvey will have many safety precautions in place including hand washing stations, directed customer flow, social distancing signage, acrylic screens in front of cash registers and floor markings for safe spacing in checkout lines. Credit or debit card payment is preferred. All staff working with the public will be wearing masks.
For customers who prefer to remain in their cars, the drive through Plant Safari remains open and available, as well as the online site, lurveys.shop. Phone orders are also being accepted for curbside pick up or delivery.
