New teachers learn ropes in District 15

About 60 new teachers have joined Palatine Township Elementary District 15.

Officials said the group went through a comprehensive new teacher orientation session last week. The new instructors were able to learn about District 15's curriculum, teaching strategies and technology. The teachers are also paired with a mentor.

All teachers are scheduled to attend institute days Aug. 12 and 13. The first day of school for grades one through eight will be Aug. 14.
