Naperville Ale Fest benefits parks foundation
You can savor a brew and help others enjoy Naperville parks at the third annual Naperville Winter Ale Fest.
For the third year in the row, the Naperville Parks Foundation has been chosen as the charity partner for the fest, which runs noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Frontier Sports Complex, located behind Neuqua Valley High School at 3380 Cedar Glade Drive, Naperville.
The Naperville Winter Ale Fest proved to be a popular event in 2014 and 2015, offering an unusual combination of enjoying outdoor winter weather and craft beer tasting. A portion of the money raised through ticket sales will be used by the Naperville Parks Foundation to provide need-based scholarships for low-income Naperville families.
The fest offers 130 craft beers to sample along with live entertainment and a variety of food provided by Chicago-area food trucks. Last year the event sold out, with approximately 4,000 tickets purchased. Participants can find plenty of free parking at Frontier Sports Complex and can warm up in heated tents.
Participants must be 21 or older. Tickets are $50 for general admission and $20 for designated drivers. Tickets may be purchased at napervillewinteralefest.com/tickets/.
