Gurnee police say they are seeking armed robber
Gurnee police are seeking the public's assistance to find a man they say they believe committed an armed robbery early Tuesday.
Authorities said the armed robbery was reported at 4:23 a.m. at the BP Amoco station at 4885 Grand Ave. Police didn't disclose what the bandit may have stolen from the gas station or what type of weapon might have been used.
Video surveillance shows a man of an unknown race wearing a gray-and-black, camouflage-style hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a baseball cap, according to police. It was reported the man may have worn black face paint in an attempt to disguise his appearance.
