Fire damages garage in Rolling Meadows

Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire Sunday morning that damaged a garage attached to a townhouse in the 2500 block of Yarrow Lane in Rolling Meadows.

The fire was reported at 7:22 a.m. and extinguished in 20 minutes, according to the Rolling Meadows Fire Department. Firefighters said the blaze remained confined to the garage and did not reach the home.

No injuries were reported and the damage is estimated at $30,000, officials said.
