Elk Grove nonprofit to host Flag Day event Tuesday
Enclave Learning & Earning Center in Elk Grove Village will host its sixth annual "Gift of Colors" Flag Day event Tuesday.
The free event will take place from 8:20 to 9 a.m. at The Enclave, 75 Turner Ave. Parking is available on site.
The Elk Grove Village Fire Department will present "A Gift of Colors" to Enclave Academy. The current flag will be retired, and a new U.S. flag will be presented in honor of leaders in business and nonprofit organizations.
Fire and police public safety vehicles will be on display, and featured speakers will be state Sen. Laura Murphy, state Rep. Michelle Mussman and Cook County Board Commissioner Kevin Morrison.
In case of rain, the event will take place indoors.
Enclave Academy will provide "Morning Brews & Bites" from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
