The worst choice for voters in long memory

I have been voting since 1952, when Stevenson ran against Eisenhower and in most of those elections, either candidate was capable of becoming the president of the United States. Here we are now, a nation of over 300 million people and we are facing an election where neither candidate is qualified to be president.

Many people will vote for Hillary Clinton simply because she is a woman. Likewise many will vote for Donald Trump because they are tired of the inaction of both parties and both houses and want change. Hillary is dishonest, has lied to the American people about Libya and the attach on our embassy in Benghazi, put our country and our military at great risk by using an unsecured server to send classified e mails and then destroyed thousands of emails after Congress subpoenaed them. She is accused of "pay for play" during her years as secretary of state.

Then there is Donald Trump. A wealthy businessman and real estate tycoon with no political experience who aggressively went about defeating 17 candidates running for the Republican nomination. I cannot agree with the way he ran his campaign, which included character assassination.

This is one of the dirtiest campaigns that I have ever witnessed and we should be ashamed as Americans that these are the choices we have in this presidential election. I would also agree with Trump that Hillary has the support of the media as all they talk about are the Trump negatives and they give Hillary a free pass on the email scandal as well as the Clinton "pay for play" which in my opinion are more important than Trump's sexual adventures.

The question now is who can we trust as president for four years as I am sure neither one will be re-elected.
