The right qualities for Kane judge

I have known Tom Hartwell through most of my professional career, which includes more than 20 years as an attorney, during which I was chairman of a state commission, and subsequently 15 years as a judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

I respect Tom as a person who regards public service as a privilege that demands full dedication and respect for the obligations undertaken. I believe Tom's demeanor and temperament, as well as his people skills and professionalism, make him a particularly good man for the judiciary.

In addition, Tom's varied legal experience and time in public service convince me that he will perform his duties and conduct himself in a manner the dignity and decorum essential to a well functioning judiciary.

On Nov. 6, please join me by casting your vote for Tom Hartwell for Kane County Judge.
