Arlington Heights police to hold roadside checkpoint
The Arlington Heights Police Department will hold a roadside safety check Friday night at Rand Road and Beverly Lane.
The checkpoint is part of the department's Fourth of July traffic safety campaign that runs June 15 through July 6 and focuses on stepped-up enforcement of impaired and unbuckled drivers.
The roadside checkpoint will run from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday.
By law, the department is required to notify the public of the enforcement zone.
