Bartlett Fire Protection District firefighters were able to safely rescue a 42-year-old woman after the vehicle she was driving crashed into a retention pond Tuesday.

Bartlett police continue to investigate the cause of the crash, which was reported about 7 p.m. in the 200 block of Route 59.

Police said the woman lost control of her 2011 Mercedes GL-Class before the vehicle crashed into the pond. She did not suffer any injuries.

Police said they do not believe alcohol, drugs or reckless driving contributed to the crash.
