Elgin police investigating shooting that injures one

Elgin police are investigating an early morning shooting that injured a man.

Police responded to the 1800 block of Gleneagle Circle at 3:10 a.m. Thursday.

Officers found a man inside who sustained what appeared to be a nonlife-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital.

Preliminary investigation indicates the shooter left the scene in a vehicle.
