United aircraft blows tires before takeoff from O'Hare
CHICAGO (AP) - The takeoff of a United Airlines flight from Chicago to Fort Myers, Florida was aborted by two blown tires.
A United Airlines spokeswoman says Flight 306 never left the runway at O'Hare International Airport on Monday afternoon. The plane was surrounded by emergency crews after coming to a halt on the runway.
The 150 passengers and six crew members aboard were evacuated and returned to the terminal by bus. No one was injured and the passengers were placed on a later flight.
