Older adults' artwork on display in Bartlett during August

Hanover Township older adults will display their works of art at the township's 13th annual "Got Art?" show to run through the month of August.

Residents are encouraged to stop by and see the hundreds of pieces created by adults aged 55 and older in paintings, ceramics, and other handcrafts instructed at the Hanover Township Senior Center, 240 S. Route 59 in Bartlett.

On Thursday, Aug. 1, the public is invited to attend an artist reception at the center from 1 to 4 p.m. Light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Jennifer Silk, a violinist with the Chicago Federation of Music, will perform during the reception.
