Boys soccer: South Elgin, Streamwood post wins
Derek Baker scored twice and Javier Lujan added a goal Wednesday night as the South Elgin boys soccer team defeated Larkin 3-1 in a nonconference game.
Lujan, Eduardo Carrillo and Sebastian Ponce each added an assist for the Storm (4-1).
Streamwood 1, Jacobs 0: At the Barrington tournament, Oscar Chavez scored off an Aldo Lazaro assist in the second half to lead Streamwood to the win. Daniel Dominguez made 5 saves in goal for the Sabres (3-0-1). Ethan Pickering had 3 saves for Jacobs (1-2).
Kaneland 2, Yorkville 2: In the Northern Illinois Big 12 East, Trevor Jahn and Angel Escontrias scored goals for Kaneland and Hunter Smith made 10 saves in goal to help preserve the tie for the Knights.
East Aurora 2, Lemont 0: Adrian Hernandez and Brian Perea scored off assists from Luis Trejo and Sergio Simental as the Tomcats (1-3) won their first game of the season.
Crystal Lake South 3, Antioch 1: Andrew Grabowski scored twice and had an assist and Alex Canfield added a goal to lead the Gators (3-2) to a nonconference win. Spencer Traub (2 saves) and Brandon Gorka (1) split time in goal for CLS.
