Buffalo Grove charges 3 with DUI in holiday crackdown

Buffalo Grove police made three drunken driving arrests and issued 41 citations for not wearing seat belts over the holiday season as part of a federally-funded Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign that puts extra officers on the road.

"In an effort to bring the number of fatalities on our roadways down to zero, we warned partygoers not to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or they would face the consequences - and we kept our word," Sgt. Anthony Goldstein said in a news release.
