Turn to local leagues for great baseball

The current lockout of baseball is motivated strictly by greed. The millionaire players want more money from the billionaire owners. They hurt the businesses in spring training cities with no remorse. Commissioner Manfred claims they are thinking of the fans. Right. That's why they already have shortened the season.

I suggest all baseball fans support their local youth league, high school and other amateur teams. It's free. Note: Parking near Wrigley Field costs as much $60, and a beer is $9 and ticket prices are sky high.

P.S., don't forget that the Cubs unloaded their high-priced players last August strictly to save money. The Atlanta Braves were in the same position in the standings as the Cubs. They kept their team intact and added a few key players and went on to the World Series.
