Parade entries, volunteers needed for St. Charles St. Patrick's Parade
The St. Patrick's Parade, presented by St. Charles Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram, will be returning this year on Saturday, March 12. It will step off at 2 p.m. on Main Street in St. Charles.
Join in on the fun by submitting an entry to be in the parade or get involved by volunteering.
Parade entries will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 11.
Local businesses, community groups and nonprofits are encouraged to participate.
The parade starts at Main and Sixth streets and continues down Main Street to end at Fourth Avenue. Before the parade, head to the St. Charles History Museum for a St. Patrick's Day take-home craft, leprechaun scavenger hunt in the exhibit, and popcorn.
Those that wish to participate in the parade must complete an entry form, obtain a certificate of insurance, sign off on the rules and regulations, and return the documents along with the appropriate entry fee to the St. Charles Business Alliance's office no later than Friday, Feb. 11.
The entry fee is $275 for businesses and $25 for nonprofit organizations. Forms can also be emailed to info@stcalliance.org.
Volunteers will be accepted up to the date of the parade. Volunteer opportunities include parade pacers, marshals and banner carriers. Volunteer descriptions and sign up can be found at www.stcstpatricksparade.com/volunteer.
