St. Edward falls in tourney opener

Perspectives Leadership 57, St. Edward 52: At the ICCP/Westmont Holiday Tournament, the Green Wave (9-3) lost despite AJ Franklin (15 points), Daniel Parks (12 points) and Sebastian Oquendo (10) all scoring in double figures.

Rockford Jefferson 63, Cary-Grove 37: Sam Carhart and Addison West each scored 6 points to lead the Trojans (5-6) at the Hinkle Classic at Jacobs.

Lisle 61, Kaneland 56: The Knights (2-8) lost their opener at the Plano Holiday Tournament. Luke Brost and Wyatt Peeler led Kaneland with 13 points each, and Blake Feiza and Grant Heimerdinger both scored 10.
