Santa brings cheer to socially distanced Palatine tree lighting
It may not have been quite like tree lightings of yore where people huddle for warmth and drink hot chocolate while singing carols, but the "park and watch" holiday tree lighting Saturday in Palatine nevertheless brought glad tidings of the season.
And with the possible gift of a COVID-19 vaccine by Christmas, perhaps those twinkling lights hold the promise of brighter times to come.
