Barb's Rescue Open House and Black Cat Adoption Event

Barb's Precious Rescue and Adoption Center, Palatine, is holding an Open House and Black Cat Adoption Event on Saturday, July 29th, from 2:00 PM to 5 PM.

Come by and visit the Rescue and their cats and kittens. They will be providing facility tours and presenting their plans for the addition to their building. Currently they house cats and kittens only. However, the long range plan of the Rescue includes space for dogs available for adoption following completion of the addition. Construction will begin shortly and expansion plans are underway.

The Rescue will be showcasing BLACK CATS to give them their best chance at being adopted. Most people choose to adopt a patterned or colored cat over a black cat. Rescues have an abundance of black cats so they are the least likely to find a forever home.

Many of the black cats available can be previewed on petfinder at www.petfinder.com/shelters/IL862.html

During this event, there will be:

• Special adoption prices

• Complimentary gift baskets for each adoption

• Sponsor: Page's Healthy Paws

• Facility tours

• Food and refreshments

• Raffles and games

• Bid on a photography package by Elizabeth Horn Photography

• 'Sponsor a brick' showing your support
