We need to see candidates in district

Seeing Peter Roskam and Sean Casten debating recently was a great education on what issues and polices the two would pursue. One problem for the folks in the Sixth District is that the forum took place in Chicago. Few people in the district were able to watch.

We need the two candidates to come to the area that they will represent. We need Congressman Roskam to hold a town hall in this area or at the very least participate in a candidates' forum where people from the district can see him and his opponent and ask questions.

The issue of abortion and taxes were treated, but we need a greater explanation of the tax bill that Congressman Roskam helped write and shepherd through. What are the specific provisions that he feels will help us in this state and district? We need to know his commitment to the Paris Accord and his stand on carbon pricing and environmental regulations affecting our water and air. We need to know his stand on cost effectiveness affecting the chemical and fossil fuel industries and the health of his constituents.

We need to hear him and his opponent speak to the these and many more issues that will affect us in sixth Congressional district.
