Lake Barrington woman dies after house fire

A Lake Barrington woman succumbed to injuries from a house fire Friday, officials confirmed.

Judith Forsythe, 77, was pronounced dead about 3:50 p.m. Friday at Loyola University Medical Center.

Crews responded to the fire on the 1100 block of Oak Hill Road shortly before 5 a.m. Friday.

When they arrived on scene, everyone was out of the house, but a woman was injured, the Wauconda Fire Protection District said in a news release.

Based on preliminary information, the fire was likely not suspicious, though authorities are still investigating, according to Lake County sheriff's officials.
