12-year-old boy hit while biking in Arlington Heights

A 12-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle while riding a bike in Arlington Heights Wednesday evening, according to the Arlington Heights Fire Department.

Firefighters responded about 6 p.m. to Thomas Street and Mitchell Avenue. The boy suffered minor injuries and was taken to Northwest Community Hospital.

The crash is still under investigation.
