Source of our problems is lack of religion
The tragedy that is the violence in Chicago, and many other cities, can be traced back to a loss of religion. Alexis de Tocqueville, in the 1830s, came to America to find a faith-filled people. He came to the conclusion that liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith and that Christianity must be considered the basis for America's politics.
We are losing the faith that binds us together. We are losing the Judeo-Christian morals and values that our country was founded upon. If we no longer teach these things in schools, how can we expect our young people to act morally and with virtue?
When we erase everything religious from our public square and schools, what kind of outcome do you think we will have? When Hollywood depicts heroes without a conscience and will kill without a second thought, what kind of behavior do you expect our young people to emulate?
We are destroying this country, our communities and our families in the name of secularism. You are witnessing it today. The pendulum has swung too far the other way. More laws will not end the violence. We need to return to The Way, The Truth and The Light - Jesus.
