Palatine Twp. to host Health and Happiness Fair Sept. 12

Palatine Township residents are invited to attend the annual Health and Happiness Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Palatine Township Center, 721 S. Quentin Road in Palatine.

The Health and Happiness fair will have free screenings, educational presentations and a variety of information on healthy life alternatives and choices for individuals and families.

"The annual Health and Happiness Fair is a well-attended event designed around all of our residents," Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson said in an announcement of the event. "Any person aged zero to 110 are sure to find vendors suited to their needs. It is a enjoyable event for all."

Among the offerings will be free flu shots provided by Walgreens, macular degeneration/diabetic retinopathy testing and hearing tests through the Lions Club, in addition to podiatric screenings, spinal and posture screenings, chair massages, and a number of other services provided at no cost to attendees.
