Schaumburg Park District hosts annual Halloween Boonanza

Don't be frightened! Join the Schaumburg Park District at Halloween Boonanza, presented by Schaumburg Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Community Bank.

The fun is set for 6-9 p.m., Oct. 27, at the Community Recreation Center (CRC), 505 N. Springinsguth Road and Safety Park. The CRC will be transformed into a Halloween carnival featuring games, inflatables, a costume contest, haunted train ride, prizes and entertainment. Trick-or-treating will take place at Safety Park.

"This event is perfect for families to kick off the Halloween weekend," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program supervisor. "The best part about Boonanza is there is something for everyone. There are crafts, face-painting and a haunted train ride. It's fun to see children and their parents dressed in costumes and having fun together."

Concessions will be available for purchase.

This event is for ages 2 to 14 years old. Pre-registration deadline is 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26.

Cost is $10 (child receives wristband which includes all activities except concessions). Day-of cost is $12. Admission is free to parents and children under 2 years old.
