Zombie Apocalypse!:
Participants will navigate the land of the undead by utilizing designated "safe zones" and have to creatively use various items to aid in survival Saturday, Oct. 21, at Wheeler Park, 822 N. First St., Route 31, Geneva. Participants will be divided into flights, groups of 10 to 15 people, and will start approximately five minutes apart from each other. Each flight will be led by a trained guide from safe zone to safe zone. Space is limited; register early.
Family-friendly hour is from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Join the slower-paced, but equally fun, family-friendly version. Our zombies are instructed to take it easy to ensure each participant, no matter what age, has a great time! This hour is suggested for those ages 10 and younger. Zombie Apocalypse is from 6 to 8 p.m. As the sun sets and an eerie fog rolls in, the night will be set for the ultimate zombie obstacle course. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing for running through the course. Suggested for those ages 11 and older. Preregistration before Oct. 21 is $9 for residents and $14 for nonresidents. On-Site registration is $10 for residents and $15 for nonresidents.
Zombie volunteers are needed. Interested in becoming a zombie? Zombies, ages 14 and older, will be transformed into the undead by professional face painters, and chase humans from 2:30 to 9 p.m. All volunteers must arrive by 2:30 p.m. Volunteers will receive food and beverages prior to the event. Volunteer spots are limited. Call (630) 232-4542 to reserve your volunteer zombie spot.
