Palatine apartment left uninhabitable after fire

One unit was left uninhabitable after a fire at an apartment building in Palatine late Saturday afternoon, officials said.

Authorities responded about 4:39 p.m. after the fire broke out in one unit at a six-unit apartment building on the 1300 block of North Ports O' Call Drive, Palatine fire officials said.

Nobody was injured, and the cause is still under investigation.
