Stevenson High student wins physics prize

Stevenson High School junior Tony Tan has won first prize in Drake University's annual Physics Prize competition, earning a full, four-year tuition scholarship to the Iowa school's physics and astronomy department. Tony also received a trophy, and his name was placed on the Drake Physics Trophy, a traveling trophy that will be at Stevenson's campus in Lincolnshire until spring 2019. Tony had the highest score of all the students in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota who took the test in February.
