Local agencies helping homless get almost $5 million in federal funding

Almost $5 million in federal funding for organizations fighting homelessness that serve the Eighth Congressional District was announced this week by Rep. Tammy Duckworth, a Hoffman Estates Democrat. Funds include $3,277,593 in eleven grants to Thresholds Inc., $496,633 in two grants to WINGS Program Inc., $437,705 in three grants to DuPage County Health Department, $400,348 in two grants to Ecker Center for Mental Health and $277,834 in two grants to DuPage County Community Services.
