Busse Woods fishing derby set for June 5

Cook County Commissioner Tim Schneider's fishing derby is Sunday, June 5, at Busse Woods Grove 25 near Elk Grove Village - an annual free event that is open to all ages.

The derby is being organized in conjunction with Cabela's, Arlington Anglers, Integrity Bassmasters and the Cook County Forest Preserve District, which manages over 40 lakes for recreational sport fishing. Cabela's will provide prizes for the participants. A fishing license will not be required to participate, but participants must bring their own fishing gear.
