Des Plaines Legion post is alive, kicking

Someone recently posted on the internet that Des Plaines American Legion Post 36 was permanently closed. To quote the current vernacular, this is Fake News.

The Post is not closed, and is active as ever. As a matter of fact. we are in the process of completing plans for our Centennial celebration, commemorating 100 years of service to God, country and community, in August of 2020.
