Aurora offering COVID-19 and flu shots at La Sierra clinic

A vaccination clinic in Aurora will offer free COVID-19 and flu shots next week.

The city's community services department is hosting the clinic from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, at La Sierra, a banquet facility at 2121 E. New York St.

The clinic will be held in collaboration with VNA Health Care and Aldermen-at-Large Sherman Jenkins and Ron Woerman. More than 700 residents attended the last vaccination event at La Sierra.

Residents also can receive COVID-19 booster shots. No insurance or social security is required to participate, but residents must register for vaccinations at aurora-il.org/March6Vax or by calling (331) 256-5377.

The event will include door prizes, music and free tacos from Primos Tacos. Primos Mexican Cuisine and Bright HealthCare are also sponsoring the event.
