Letter: Inflation's source
Your Sunday, March 12, Page 7 article had particular interest for me. The Bloomberg News writers interviewed and quoted an Elk Grove Village bakery owner about his reason for raising prices to his customers. After reading several paragraphs of his excuses, I came to the same conclusion stressed in the article: because the consumer will pay the inflated prices.
As I have enunciated so many times, "Don't pay the price asked by sellers." Do you really need the chicken wings or the new car? Stop. ask yourself, "Do I/we really have to have stuff or eat out that much?" Folks, prices are not going to retreat or go back.
