June is a great month to tie the knot

It was nice to read Mary Barret's letter (July 10) about the Sacred Heart as a reason to be proud during the month of June.

Long marriages are another reason to be proud. All months are appropriate for marriage, but June seems be a favorite.

My husband and I live at Belmont Village, an assisted living facility. We are one couple, among many, who have been married for 60 years plus. Recently, we had a couple who celebrated 72 years of marriage. Another couple celebrated 75.

Our activities director arranged a display of all couples who submitted a photo in our Great Room.
