Plum, Walton lead Washington women past Arizona 74-52

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Kelsey Plum scored 22 points with four 3-pointers and Talia Walton added 20 as Washington defeated Arizona 74-52 on Friday night, sending the Wildcats to a ninth-straight loss.

Washington, coming off its first weekend sweep of then-No. 14 UCLA and USC since 2001, got off to a 12-0 start, was up 18-6 after one quarter and led 56-35 going into the final period.

Plum, who made 8 of 17 shots with six assists, is one-point shy of scoring 700 for a third straight season. Walton made 9 of 17 field goals and Chantel Osahor added 16 points with 11 rebounds for the Huskies (18-8, 9-6 Pac-12), notching her eighth double-double of the season.

The Huskies, who made 11 3-pointers Friday, meet ninth-ranked Arizona State Sunday morning.

Malena Washington scored 15 points to lead Arizona (11-16, 2-13), LaBrittney Jones added eight. The Wildcats shot 37-percent (21-for-57).
