Wine event in Barrington benefits charities
Patrons enjoyed wine and helped community organizations in the process Friday night at Uncork Barrington.
Along with the wine tasting under a tent at the village's Metra station, visitors got to enjoy food and a performance by The Claudettes.
Roughly 50 wines were available for tasting at the event, which was co-hosted by the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce, Barrington Area Council on Aging and Barrington Village Association,
Uncork Barrington is an important funding source for local charities. Proceeds from Friday's event will benefit the Barrington Children's Choir, Barrington Area Council on Aging, Barrington Area United Way, Barrington Youth and Family Services and Samaritan Counseling Center.
