Palatine Jaycees to host annual Easter Egg Hunt

The Palatine Jaycees will be entertaining local children ages 9 and younger from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, with its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Falcon Park's outdoor fields, 2195 N. Hicks Road, Palatine.

"We will have thousands of Easter eggs hidden, which can be exchanged for candy and prize bags," said Courtney Kulig, chairwoman of the project. "We have moved to a preregistration system this year for quick check-in the day of the event to accommodate the growing popularity of our hunt. Children ages 0-9 are welcome to come hunt eggs."

To add to the festivities, the Jaycees will also have the Easter Bunny attend as well as arts and crafts.

"Children will be able to have their pictures taken by their parents with the Easter Bunny for a small donation," said Kulig.

While advance registration is recommended at www.palatinejaycees.org, walk up attendees are also welcome.

Every year, the Palatine Jaycees conduct numerous programs to serve the community and accumulate funds for operation of the chapter and community events, grants and scholarships.

Included in these projects are the Fourth of July Hometown Fest, Christmas tree sales, Easter Egg Hunt, STEM Fair and others.
