Nominations sought from Palatine community for chamber awards

The deadline for nominations for the annual "Key to Success" awards given by the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce is Monday.

The event honors local businesses, organizations and individuals who have demonstrated leadership and made significant contributions to the Palatine community in the past year. All community members are invited to make nominations at ktspalatine.com.

The award ceremony will take place on Zoom at 7 p.m. Dec. 4. The deadline to register to attend the virtual event, and also to become a sponsor, is Nov. 30.

Registration is $50 per person for chamber members and $60 for others, and includes a choice of dinner and wine to be picked up from Gianni's Cafe, Agio Italian Bistro or Café Fourteen, all in Palatine.

"We are thrilled to be hosting our Key to Success awards event despite the uncertainty we have all experienced over the past several months," chamber Executive Director Steven Gaus said in a news release. "While we are hosting the event virtually due to the pandemic, it's still important we honor individuals, businesses and organizations who have persevered in light of the many challenges."
