Grayslake-area man robbed at his home

A Grayslake-area man was robbed Wednesday night at his home, police said.

The 37-year-old man was robbed about 9:30 p.m. as he entered his home on the 18300 block of West Springwood Drive.

The thief punched the victim in the head and unsuccessfully tried to use a stun gun to subdue him, Lake County sheriff's police said.

The robber, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and concealed his face, left with an undisclosed sum of cash.
