Boys soccer: Huntley blanks McHenry

Huntley's boys soccer team picked up its first Fox Valley Conference win Tuesday with a 5-0 victory over McHenry.

After a scoreless first half, the Red Raiders (6-5-1, 1-1) came charging back with a huge second half.

Josh Guyer scored 2 goals for Huntley and Austin Killen and Gabriel Majocha each had 2 assists.

Ethan Kornas was in goal for 70 minutes and tallied one save for Huntley, and Jett Zuleger came in for the last 10 minutes to hold on to the shutout.

Crystal Lake South 3, Cary-Grove 1: Alex Canfield scored 2 out of the Gators' 3 goals and also assisted the third goal, leading CL South to its second win in Fox Valley Conference play.

Carson Hill tended goal for the Gators (8-3-2, 2-0) and saved 2 shots. Sam Larsen saved 4 shots in goal for Cary-Grove (4-4-1, 1-1) and Samuel Kedzior finished with 5 saves for the Trojans.
