City rises to meet needs

Kudos to the Elgin City Council for unanimously approving the former Larkin Center property into affordable housing, with 10 units for people with disabilities. Some communities would balk at such because of the "not in my back yard" myopic syndrome.

City Hall, Full Circle, the Larkin neighborhood and Fox River Valley Initiative are to be commended for making Elgin an even better place to live.
