Great Lakes Credit Union adds two housing counselors

As certified Housing and Urban Development counselors, they help qualify clients for down payment assistance through the HUD first-time homebuyers' certification program.

Through a recent merger with North Side Community Federal Credit Union, GLCU is now one of only 16 credit unions across the country to offer HUD-approved housing counseling. With the expansion, GLCU's HUD counseling is now available to anyone in the Greater Chicagoland region through the Uptown, Crystal Lake, and North Chicago branch locations.
