Stevenson High School hosting discussion on marijuana legalization

Stevenson High School will host a discussion at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 about the pending legalization of recreational marijuana use.

The talk will take place in Room 2104 at the Lincolnshire school. Dr. Susan Sirota, a pediatrician, will lead the free discussion, which is open to the public.

As of Jan. 1, adults in Illinois will be able to possess small amounts of marijuana and other cannabis products. Likewise, marijuana sales at state-licensed stores will be legal as of the same date.
